This past weekend I was blessed to be able to attend and be ministered to, greatly by some very anointed men of God. It was a Men’s Conference called Brother’s Keeper and was held at the Bishop Connare Center in Greensburg, PA by Pastor, Ray Lankford of Oasis Ministries and his Church of McKeepsort, PA.

I’ve been to many of men’s conference’s in the past (though not of late) but can still honestly say that like the freshness of the Word Of God, you will always get something more for your life than you had or experienced before, when God shows up!

The focus of this weekend retreat was for the men of God to come clean, and deal with anything and everything that may be hindering our walk with the Lord. As a witness to Jesus the Christ and as the “Men-Of-God” He has called us to be in front of a lost and dying world.

All were blessed by what Pastor, Ray Lankford called: "The Five Smooth Stones" as he called the five anointed men of God that he commissioned to speak to us. And, did they ever speak to us!

Just to warm us up he threw two extra bonus "Pebbles" at us by having his elder son Ray lead us in Praise and Worship, then calling on his own younger son, Corey Lankford to bless us with his powerful young ministry using "movies" to drive his point home.

As we swore an oath not divulge any particulars we learned that even though becoming “born-again” washes your sins away and removes you from the curse of sin, those things that the enemy used to tempt us with before will remain or even come back around to tempt us again. That it is only by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:1,2) and the discipline of walking away from those things that so entrapped us before, that we can continue enjoying the freedom form sin that Christ gained for us on Calvary’s cross.

Probably, the most notable thing I realized was the number of "Young" men of God that were there. We often tend to make the mistake of thinking that only the older and wiser men are out there running for God…but there seemed to be just as many Young men as their were older, more mature men, there and on fire for God.

This leaves me to believe, that God has the Gospel for this generation covered as well. So, if you should ever have an opportunity to attend a Men’s conference, please do because: ‘You Won’t Leave There, Like You Came…In Jesus, Name" !
