With so many good Organizations and humanitarian causes out there needing our help and money to fund the good work that they do, it can be a daunting task to decide which of those (if any) we decide to help. And, I say "if any" because many times we can point to any number of excuses to just "pass" instead of know-for-sure. Which leads me to a very common excuse I hear and sadly used myself: "well, how CAN I know how much or even IF my money will make it directly to the need"?

Well, the short answer to that excuse is, "YOU CAN’T"! But then God (my heavenly Father) does not ask me to determine or solve that calculating dilemma. He simply tells me to give as I can purpose it in my heart. If my motive is to help, then it will be credited to me as such and no thief, scam or mail fraud can ever take that seed of love and compassion sewn towards doing good when I give.

So, I made a firm decision years ago that instead of trying to qualify most humanitarian efforts of charity, I would simply open my heart (and Spirit) to confirm what I could give ( Acts 11:29 ) and let Him handle the rest. Which more than likely would qualify you for quite the reward right here while you are living this life. ( Luke 6:38 )

Even with all of the above aside, how can you be anything but angry (after your heart breaks) when you give some thought to the "Give $9 on 9/9/09" project being hosted by Born2Fly.org ?

I know it is not my job to convict you into giving or helping…that job, belongs to the Holy Spirit of God. However, whether you decide you can give $9.00 or not surely you can spread the word (via links) to all your twitter, facebook and email friends about this truly awesome educational request for the children involved in this heinous acts throughout the world.
