I’m a blessed man…blessed to have now been able to "give-away" both of my beautiful daughter’s to fine young, God fearing, Christian men. First, my oldest daughter, Erica a few years ago and just this past Saturday, my youngest "Baby-Girl" Linda Kay! Quite the "Tom,-Boy" for most of her life… |
…I was simply spellbound with seeing her blossom into such a beautiful bride and young woman, in what seems like, overnight. She is after all 25 years of age but as a parent the years of your children just seem to fly by and I guess I just never thought of her as anything but my little girl.
Saturday seemed to dash away all of those thoughts as I sort of just floated around all day with nothing real serious to do except enjoy myself. Not only was I in awe of what a beautiful job her, her mother, mother-in-law and husband did with the hall but of the wedding party and my oldest daughter Erica (who was in the bridal party) as well but of my son and grandson.
Bernie, my son and once, little hockey player has also grown up into a big strappin’, handsome young man. Now, throw in my awesome grandson (who absolutely owns me) and you might understand how I was just numb with pride and joy over what God has done for me.
Did I mention Peggy, my wife? Let me just tell you that there WAS no prettier woman in attendance than my life’s partner and best friend of more than thirty years.
Sob, sniff, sniff…I’m a blessed man indeed.
