"Personal Day" time off benefits on my day job to help my old friend open up his latest car lot in Uniontown, PA. It’s one of the oldest brick buildings in town and was originally built to house and sell "White" manufactured cars & trucks way back in the 20’s. My friend has painstakingly remodeled/restored the old building keeping much of it’s old… |
…style and flair that was prominent for buildings of it’s kind. He plans on selling many of his used cars from some of his other dealerships there and I think his customers will appreciate and enjoy visiting the old building once it’s finished. It’s amazing to see and respect the older buildings and how they were fashioned to meet the needs of businesses back in the day.
Fittingly, he wants to try and have many of the signs for this building reflect the signs of the period as well. This means they would need to be or look, "Hand-Lettered/Painted". So, I hand-lettered the front window with a temporary "Now Open" sign.
If your passing by 75 Fayette Street in Uniontown, PA (the old Region Buick bldg.) anytime soon, stop in and tell them "Bernie" sent you!
