I just got my FREE autographed copy of Drip.Dot.Swirl by Von Glitschka (better known as "vonster") in the mail today! I know we all love to get things in the mail and I have a humble but pretty decent sized collection of very good computer Illustration books starting to build, so this new shiny Illustration book was extra special to me. …this is not a thorough book review nor could I hope to do it justice by trying to make it one. Your simply reading an excited post about a book that seems will give me hours and hours of creative reading an inspiration to continue down the digital graphic road.
Now, I probably should have waited at least until I read the book first, but trust me, when I get going deep into a book like this I never really finish. Speaking of diving into a good book he even included a great bookmarker/business card to keep your place or take him up on his invite to help you in the event you get "Stumped". Oh and did I mention that there is a Vector stocked CD (see photos) sunk into the inside back cover?. Sure hope it wasn’t created using CS8 or something crazy like that as I’m sure Vonster is out front and even ahead of all the software that’s out today.
Can’t imagine not expanding my digital illustration box after traveling through this fine looking book and CD so until I do…I’ll see ya later.
Oh, and Vonster…Thanks for all you do and share online, in your blogs and with your tweets. I would love to crack into one of your classes one of these days too. Who knowz?
