Born To Be Wild

Posted by Bernard | Filed under: B-Life, Funny, Leisure
A few weeks ago I conned the wife into conning our kids into getting me a very specific bike for Father’s Day. Specific because we wanted matching bikes but the wife only wanted to buy one right now. So, I says: “if the kids buy mine I’ll buy yours.” They did, so I did and now together we can hit the highway for some real “Biker” adventure!

  • Starbucks Tea Time

Posted by Bernard | Filed under: B-Life, Leisure

Picked up a USA Today, yesterday and this ad falls out with a Starbucks Tea Time card attached for a complimentary drink at Starbucks.

First off it was the ad that made me keep the flyer as my wife’s not a big fan of my choice of coffee ( $ ). Whether your an artist or not, the ad is just drop dead gorgeous and that alone made this one worth keeping.

So, maybe you like exotic Coffee’s, Tea’s and Spices…and then maybe you don’t. I’m old school and my grandmother would FREAK if she was around to see a 4-5 dollar cup of coffee, but ever since the movie, "You Got Mail" I’ve been a Starbucks fan.

What I love about it most is the fact that people usually either love there stuff ( me ) or they hate it ( my wife ).

The extreme choice in this matter is exactly the attraction. Okay, so it’s pricey and we certainly do not need it but have you noticed that besides purchasing the coffee you usually get a few extra minutes of stress-free time ( even if it’s in your head ) and I’m all for that.

Of course you will certainly be stereotyped as my son ( a police officer ) seems to like to do with all brands, movies, cars and types of clothing that people choose thinking that everyone belongs to a certain mindset. But I’ve gotten over that years ago because everything and everybody is stereotyped anyway, including the stereotypers. So, I like to just give things a try and move on.

If anyone out there has already tried this ( or any other new drinking product ) please post your comments here so we can see what stereo-type you belong to (smile).
