Photoshop Coloring Excercise

I recently have been trying to upgrade my limited knowledge of Photoshop and figured the best way to do this is to take on a specific project.

This piece is one I blocked in the color in Illustrator and then placed into Photoshop for all the highlights.

While I’m happy with what I got out of this excercise I’m really trying to get to where I can do an entire start to finish illustration in Photoshop.

  • T-Shirt Art / The Early Days

    With my current artwork being well over 90% digital and computer generated I thought it would be nice to look back at the good old days just to see how far (or how old) I’ve gotten.

    Technology always makes the past look puzzling or at least kinda strange but since it’s a place I came and survived from, I’m quite grateful for it.

    …you were working awful hard and fast by hand with pen and ink, x-acto knives and rubylith films (let’s not forget Lettraset rub off lettering) to create film positives for screens or doing one-offs from scratch out of your head (or printed reference) right onto the shirt itself.
