Super Bowl Bound

Well since I’ve been everywhere doing everything except drawing & posting here on my blog I figgered it would be a real challenge to try and come up with some "Sports-Art" in time for this weeks big game.

…success of our professional sports teams. Of course the Pirates seem determined to change that but for the most part, historically, our teams our always in the hunt in their respective sport.

Currently, it’s the Penguins that have us excited. Battling the Red Wings in last years Stanley cup finals, and just missing their third championship, they are in the second round this year – going against the Dreaded Washington Capitals in game one today.

So, I thought I would post one of my many cartoon versions of their mascot which I almost always draw differently when I get the time.

Let’s Go Pens! / ‘09 Playoffs

Just another example of how cool a sports town Pittsburgh can be…The Penguins are in the playoffs and have home ice against Philly to kick things off.

So, I dug around in my hard drive for a piece of vector art I did in CorelDRAW a while back and thought it appropriate for today’s post.

Philly’s star players are all healthy for this one, unlike last year but I’m hoping for the same results…
